Programme admission requirements (according to bylaw) |

|
1- 2.1.For admission to the Faculty of Nursing at Mansoura University, to obtain the Bachelor’s Degree, the following requirements must be fulfilled: |
|
2- 2.1.a. To be holder of the secondary Education Final Certificate, scientific section, or a certificate considered as equivalent there – to. |
|
3- 2.2.b. To have the English language as the first foreign language |
|
4- 2.3.c. To pass the personal test that is held by the faculty |
|
5- 2.3.d. To pass the medical check up |
|
6- 2.2.Graduates of Technical Health Institute, nursing branch are admitted to the second year of undergraduate program ,provided that obtained a minimum grade of 75%upon graduation. The University council will determine the number of student to be admitted each year up on proposal of the faculty Administrative council |
|
7- 2.3. Graduates of the Secondary Technical Nursing Schools ,3-years system will be admitted to faculty , provided that the applicants have acquired at least 70% of total scores in the certificate. Furthermore, the student should pass a complementary examination at level of the general secondary final examination( Scientific Section ), in the following subjects( chemistry- physics- Arabic Language – English Language under the supervising of the higher council of the universities ). |

8- 2.4. The student will attend the study as full – timer during the four study , as well as the internship year. |
|
9- 2.5. The duration of study for Bachelors Degree of nursing shall be four academic study years followed by one mandatory internship year in the university hospitals and under the supervision of the faculty . |

| |
1- Students are promoted to the next year if they succeeded in all subjects or failed in not more than 2 subjects other than 2 subjects other than nursing.
Fourth year students who failed to pass in not more than 2 subjects have to attend a rewrite exam. If they didn’t pass it, they are reexamined with the students studying these subjects the year after. This could be repeated till they succeed.
First year students are not allowed to sit for final exam more than two times while second year student can have a third chance, if they did not make it.
Students can be transferred form a non nursing to nursing as long as they fulfilled the admission criteria.
