| - To Introduce students problems of the Arabic text
- To introduce students to problems of the English text and how to cope with them
- To translate texts from English into Arabic and vise versa
- To introduce the problem of the dichotomy between the utterance and the meaning of the Arabic word
- Exposing students to the Egyptial colloquial and finding its equivalent in English
- Giving examples of the Egyptian colloquial and translating them into English
- Deconstructing the text on translating as one of the arts of translation
- introducing the abbreviations as a problem on translating into Arabic.
