| - To provides an introduction to the subject and treats the topics of solving nonlinear equations
- To introduce students to the numerical solution of linear and nonlinear equations and approximation by polynomials
- Give the students a theoretical analysis and on the development of practical algorithms
- to find acceptable approximate solutions when exact solutions are either impossible or so arduous and time-consuming as to be impractical,
