  1. For students undertaking this course, the aims are to: Introduce the principles of radiometric prospecting methods.
  2. Study the sources of natrural radiactivity and prospecting techinques
  3. Enable the students to measuring radioactivity in the filed , corrections and interpretation.
  4. Introduce the priciples of plate tectonics and causes of earthquakes .
  5. Outline the primary and secondary disasterous effects of earthquakes.
  6. Acquire the students knowledge to locate and forcaste large earthquakes.
