| - For students undertaking this course, the aims are to: Introduce the principles of radiometric prospecting methods.
- Study the sources of natrural radiactivity and prospecting techinques
- Enable the students to measuring radioactivity in the filed , corrections and interpretation.
- Introduce the priciples of plate tectonics and causes of earthquakes .
- Outline the primary and secondary disasterous effects of earthquakes.
- Acquire the students knowledge to locate and forcaste large earthquakes.
