| - Introduce the principles of geochemistry and the zonal structure of the earth.
- Introduce the principles of isotopes, meteorites and geochemical cycle.
- Develop the sedimentation as a geochemical process.
- Introduce the principles of fossil plants and their identification.
- Outline the basic information of fossil vertebrates and their identification.
- Acquire the students skills of the importance of the Fayoum Province as an interesting site for studying vertebrate fossils.
