| - Study the principles of paleontology.
- Outline the basic information of eight invertebrate phyla :Protozoa, Mollusca, Brachiopoda, Bryozoa, Porifera , Arthropoda, Coelenterata and Echinodermata.
- Acquire the students skills about the terms of systematics, morphology, structure, ontogeny, geologic history and stratigraphic distribution of each fossil group.
