  1. Study the rock forming minerals.
  2. Outline the basic information of the classifications and paragenesis of the rock-forming minerals.
  3. Acquire the students skills about their uses , properties and chemistry.

SMethod
Lectures using all the available methods and tools: Overhead projector, power point slides using the data show-computer and internet courses, as well as the whiteboards.
Laboratory course using the available polarising microscopes and well prepared thin sections of rock forming minerals.
Continuous assessments through practical and oral examinations.
Essay and research on related topics to the studying subjects.

6- Teaching and learning methods of disables :-
  1. The same as normal students, only skeletal disabilities are allowed in the Faculty of Science.
