2- Course aims :- |
| - Study the metamorphic petrology as a part of the global Earth system.
- Introduce the students to the localities where the metamorphic processes occur and what was its structural and tectonic setting there.
- Outline the basic information of the field survey, how they can deduce the different types of metamorphism, their grades, and their physical and chemical conditions.
- Aquire the students skills with the economic important of the metamorphism to concentrate and developing ore deposits.
- Enable the students to use GPS in the field.
- Aquire the student skills in differentiating the settings of granitoid rocks.
- Enable the students to use plate tectonic model.
