2- Course aims :- |
| - Introduce the principles of geophysical prospecting techniques to explore the upper few kilometers of the earth for natural resources, environmental and engineering problems.
- Study the structural geology as a part of the global earth system and geological mapping, earth mechanics and aerial photos.
- Enable the students to planning of the field survey, selecting the appropriate equipement for each particular problem, GIS and remote sensing.
- Outline the basic information of various techniques of reducing geophysical data, forward and inverse modeling and the economic importance of the structural elements in the development of ore deposits.
