  1. Introduce the principles of Micropaleontology.
  2. Outline the basic informations of taxonomy, ecology, morphology and shell-structures.
  3. Acquire the student skills of identifications, differentiation and description of microfossils.
  4. Study the shells-chemical composition, life history, and stratigaphic position.
  5. Develop the application of microfossil concepts in oil industry and envirnmental issues.
