Teaching Hours: Theoretical: 4Tutorial: Practical: 4
2- Course aims :-
  1. a-Understanding and forming knowledge about general characters and economic Importance of Bacteria b-Learning basis on which bacteria are classified into different groups c-Undertaking experience and gaining skills of isolation , identification of bacteria from different sources and their nutritional requirement and their application and control.
  2. The course starts with detailed information about the biology of algae including algal habit, cellular structure, plastids, pigments, storage products, nutrition, reproduction, and different life cycles. The course includes an integrated topic about the ecology of algae. Systematics of algae represents an essential topic of the course. Diagnostic charactersitics of different algal classess, orders, families and their representative algal species were clearly addressed. The course sheds light on the economic and environmental significance of algae with particular reference to the nutritive value of algae, algal industries, medicinal uses of algal, the use of algal for sewage treatment, and algal toxins. Despite of its introductory nature, the course represents an integrated overview about the science of algae (Phycology).
