| - Introduce the basic information of natural products about different classes, nomenclature, biosynthesis, physiological and medicinal importance.
- Study the general methods used for structure elucidation of natural products and giving some representative examples.
- Acquiring the student the basic information of physical organic chemistry.
- Acquiring the student the skills of isolation and synthesizing of some natural products and organic compounds.
