2- Course aims :-
  1. Give scientific background of different plant pathogens
  2. Understand the mechanisms of microbial pathogenesis
  3. Equip students with the essential knowledge, skills and attitudes required to practice research and solve problems in the field of plant pathology
  4. Understand and forming knowledge about general characters, classification, replication and biochemistry of viruses
  5. Know and understand plant pathogens selectivity and its social impact
  6. Undertake experience and gain skills of investigation, isolation, purification and preservation of plant pathogens as well as diagnosis of different plant diseases common in Egypt
