2- Course aims :-
  1. The usage of appropriate terminology in order to identify flowering plants, as well as understanding the historical context and investigate procedures used by taxonomists in developing classifications (dicots and monocots).
  2. The evolutionary relationships of plants
  3. The systematic position, morphology, anatomy, ecology, evolution, development and life cycles of archegoniate plants through a comparative study of living and extinct specimens providing an insight into the simplicity and commonality that underline complex and diverse plants
  4. Internal structure of different tissues and cell forms of roots, stems and leaves
