| - Be aware of microbial physiology & to provide an understanding of the effects of environmental changes on cell structure, function & metabolism.
- Understand the physiology of microorganisms and how this led to some of the most important advancement in medicine, food science and agriculture during our civilization.
- Understand concepts and principles in applied microbiology, biotechnology and industrial fermentation processes.
- Understand and forming knowledge about general characters and economic importance of Viruses.
- Learn the basis on which viruses are classified.
- Undertake experience and gaining skills of cultivation, isolation, purification and preservation of virus from different hosts and their application and control.
