2- Course aims :- |
| - Recognize the basic information and nomenclature of alicyclic, polynuclear and heterocyclic compounds.
- Apply the methods of preparation of major classes of compounds.
- Formulate the physical and chemical properties of major classes of alicyclic and polynuclear compounds.
- Identify the basic information of heterocyclic compounds.
- Interpret the physical and chemical properties of major classes of heterocyclic compounds.
- Enable the students to separate the components of both simple binary mixtures and more complicated mixtures.
- Practice the simple chromatography techniques and apply solvent extraction methods.
