2· Molecular weight, measurement of number average molecular weight, molecular weight distribution, · Chemical structure and polymer properties, crosslinking, glass transition temperature.
3· Reactions of vinyl polymers, conversions of functional groups, ring-forming reactions, crosslinking, vulcanization.
4· Polymer chain flexibility, configuration and conformation, factors determining chain flexibility.
5Radiation Chemistry
6· Types and sources of ionizing radiation. Units of measurements
7· Main differences between gamma irradiation and UV radiation,Types of dosimeters
8· Effect of م–rays and UV on materials, especially polymers
9· (G)values determination.. Examples of these values for different compounds and materials
10· Effects of م-ray on: alkanes, alkenes, alcohols, halogenated compounds, aromatic compounds.

13· Step-growth polymerization, free radical vinyl polymerization, kinetics of the free radical vinyl polymerization, mechanism of free radical polymerization.
14· Chain transfer reactions, autoinhibition, polymerization of dienes, copolymerization, kinetics of the free radical copolymerization, cationic vinyl polymerization, anionic polymerization,mechanism and reactivity in anionic vinyl polymerization, stereochemistry of anionic polymerization of dienes - complex catalyst systems, ring opening polymerization.
