2- Course aims :- |
| - the course deals with computer architecture as well as computer organization and design .
- teaching the structure and behavior of the various functional modules of the computer and how they interact to provide the processing needs of the user
- learning the way by which the hardware components are connected together to form a computer system and the development of the hardware for the computer taking into consideration a given set of specifications.
- The course provides also the basic knowledge necessary to understand the hardware operation of digital computers.
- teach the students the basic architecture of a basic digital computer, learn about memory and input output organizations and, study the basic idea of computer hard-wired and micro-programmed control units.

However, understanding the basics of digital systems like digital devices ( Flip Flops, Registers, Counters, … Etc) and digital circuits design must is a prior need.
