| - To enhance Sts bility to read plays that represent different movements and periods .
- To develop students' awarness of differnt dramatic devices , such as setting , characterization , conflict , theme , etc .
- To familiarize Sts with different dramatic modes : comedy , tragedy , trgicomedy , etc . and to practice reading plays exemplifying these modes .
