| - to recognize the distinguishung characteristics of members of the division: rhodophyta, phaeophyta& cholorophyta
- to define the following terms, and be able to use them, spore gamete zygoto, fertilizatio zoospore, hadsfast, stipe, blade, air bladder
- to explain alternation of generation stating which stages in the life history of a plant are diploid and which are haploid
