| - To enchance Sts ability to read plays that represent different movements and periods .
- To develop students'awarness of different dramatic devices , such as setting , characterization , conflict , theme , etc .
- To familiarizze Sts with different dramatic modes : comedy , tragedy , tragicomedy , etc , and to practice reading plays exemplifying these modes .
