| - study basic theories of solid state physics such as free electron theory of metals and its application in interpretating some physical phenomena , band theory of solid,tight -binding approximation,orthogonalized plane wave method,pseudopotential method,celluar method and augmented plane wave method. To understand the physical concepts of semiconductors and its devices.
- connect fundamental idias about the physical properties of solids.
